HyperTuneIn

Calm sound for starting work

Layer rain, a campfire or soft noise. Let it drift slowly between your ears. Pick a quiet scene and start a focus timer. It's all in your browser, and free to use.

Your own mix of sound

Layer up to three sounds, each with its own volume: rain, a river, a campfire, a blizzard, brown or pink noise, a soft beat, a warm drone. That's 10 free sounds, and 16 more with Premium. Steady sounds without words, because words are what pull focus away.

Want movement? Turn on the swing: the sound glides slowly between your ears along a curve you choose, or one you draw. Best with headphones, and fully optional. What we know about it, honestly.

A quiet scene and a timer

Ten calm visuals, from a night sky and aurora to rain on a window and a snowy cabin. They move slowly and never flash. Only the Heartbeat scene reacts to sound: it follows the soft beat.

Start a Pomodoro-style timer, 50/10 or 30/5 minutes, and the controls fade away while you work.

Spaces you can come back to

Save your sounds, swing, scene and timer as a space and step back into it with one click. Share it with a link, or publish it to the gallery.

In the gallery you can tap a card to hear a few seconds of any space, then step into it, copy it or like it. A good place to start if you don't know what you like yet.

Who makes it

I'm Lu, a software engineer. I built HyperTuneIn to get through my own late starts and perfectionism, and I try to describe it honestly: it's a tool that helps me, not a cure for anything. The whole story.

Questions

Is HyperTuneIn a medical or therapy app?

No. It's a tool for focus and relaxation, not a medical device, and it doesn't diagnose or treat ADHD, anxiety, sleep problems or anything else. Some research suggests background sound helps some people focus a little; here's what it says, plainly.

Does it use binaural beats?

No. The swing moves ordinary sound between your ears; it doesn't play different pitches in each ear, and it doesn't claim to change your brainwaves.

Do I need headphones?

For the swing, yes: through speakers both ears hear both sides. Everything else works fine on speakers.

Do I need an account?

No, you can listen to all the free sounds and scenes without one. To save spaces, sign in with Google.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. HyperTuneIn runs in modern browsers on desktop and mobile; there's nothing to install.

Can I cancel Premium?

Yes, anytime from your account, and you keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for. You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of your first payment or of a yearly renewal. See the terms for details.

What data does it keep?

Only what it needs: your Google name, email and picture for sign-in, your saved spaces (and anything you publish or like), and your subscription status. Analytics are cookieless. The privacy policy has the details.
